Following the creation of the United Intergalactic Community and an unprecedented era of peace, the number of habitable planets for members is dwindling due to overpopulation.

In a grand venture to breach into the next galaxy, the UIC has dispatched their most trusted Naval officers and their crews into the great beyond, with one such vessel helmed by the galactic hero Captain C Kirk, The UIC Galacticae!

Before the main crew were put into cryosleep to survive the rapid speed of this important voyage, the captain of the ship, in his infinite wisdom, left the ship on its backup power supply. A mere handful of batteries.

As the designated Backup Emergency Engineer Protocol, your responsibility is to balance your available power between areas of the ship to keep your facilities powered to reach your destination and keep the frozen crew alive.

Although be warned- your other systems will require periodic power to survive the plethora of ill-timed emergencies.
